Lynde Meenach

I've always had a deep-rooted love for getting outdoors and homeschool education. Married to my partner in adventure, Cole Meenach, we are excited to share with a community of nature lovers!  It’s been a dream of mine to raise children in the forest, elbow deep in education through curiosity and exploration.

My goal is to build a space with endless opportunities for hands-on learning. Raised as a homeschooler I am overjoyed to recreate the opportunity for children!  For 10 years I worked in Summer camps as a counselor and leader at Widjiwagan and moved on to director at the nature camps at the Nashville metro parks. I have a background in non-profit and have always loved creating safe spaces where children can express themselves and grow.

I grew up on this family farm and I am excited to share the same forest I found wonder in as a child! As a psychology major I have worked with children to help learn empathy, communication, grit, and resilience. I strive to continually grow as an educator through research, education and observation.

Amanda LeGrand

Coming up on 20 years of experience in education & working with children, I’ve always been passionate about allowing kids freedom to play and explore! I have a first-hand view of the public school system (as a 1st grade & K-12 ESL teacher) and I’ve seen all the moments wasted sitting still and quiet, waiting for order; days full of testing under florescent lighting - is simply not my style. If I get headaches from unnatural lighting and uncomfortable from little daily movement, imagine how kids are feeling!

I tend to blaze an unconventional trail, and am happy to draw on varied experience from yoga teaching, wellness coaching, to language learning (Spanish Lang & Culture major) writing and dipping my toes into farming. The beauty and simplicity of nature are close to my heart as I’m consistently looking for ways to live on less (spent 2020 van-lifing in Sedona!) and get outdoors!

For years, I’ve wanted to craft my own homeschool program and haven’t had kids of my own; or an expansive space to do so. Thank goodness for the rolling hills of Tennessee and Lynde’s family farm!

My vision is to create a space full of wonder, inspiring creative minds, courageous hearts and a generation of children who know anything is possible.
